His project was about process improvement at the Coca-Cola company and his advisor was Dr. Kamran Abedini. 2011 ProModel Solution Conference - 1st Place

Student: Amanda Smith
The conference was held in Orlando, Florida where she was judged by a panel of industry and academic professionals. Among them was the co-author of the Simulation ProModel textbook that is used at Cal Poly Pomona. She not only brought home two-thousand dollars but 20 temporary licenses of the ProModel software to be installed on the lab computers in building 17.

He placed first in the IIE Western Regional Conference located in San Diego which led him to present at the International Conference.
